When Stephanie described her family style as hipster, I knew a stop at Fort Macon State Park was going to make the perfect backdrop for their family photo session while they were here visiting the beach. The brick and texture around the fort really brought out their style and personality.
When the littlest showed up in suspenders, I knew they were going to rock their session. They did indeed.
After the first half of their session, we finished up at Fort Macon and headed over to the Oceanana Pier in Atlantic Beach. It was a beautiful evening on the Crystal Coast and it gave us the opportunity to create a set of beach portraits to add to the collection. The boys had a blast running around the pier and playing on the swings.
One of the best tips for rocking your session is to just be YOU! Dress in your own comfortable style and relax. Children are more comfortable when we are patient with them and allow them to be themselves during a photo session. Most of the best shots are them showing their little personalities. When they are comfortable, they are more open to take a moment to get a few posed shots that you may want as a part of your photo story collection.
